Wondered into Cluny 2 at Brave Exhibitions, no idea what to expect...... Totally loved the set. Great show, great EP. Hopefully lots more to come.
Favorite track: Head Held High.
Evil House Party is the Copenhagen-based project of Emma Acs & Jacob Formann, a duo who first met through the city’s vibrant local music scene.
Bonding over a mutually twisted, irreverent sense of humour, Jacob and Emma spent a summer in Copenhagen’s industrial harbour district, a virulent wasteland where - in a forbidding basement space - they developed the ideas that would become Evil House Party, and recorded material for their debut EP ‘Grand Theft Audio’.
The sound of EHP is anthemic, melancholic dance music, sleek and lustrous yet enshrouded in mystery. Labelled ‘depressive eurodance’, EHP embrace and transcend this designation, combining shadow and light, menace and euphoria, experimentation, and pop accessibility. Emma and Jacob, who both grew up playing alternative rock music, simply describe Evil House Party as ‘car music’.
Their debut EP ‘Grand Theft Audio’ is the soundtrack of a fugitive road journey, a febrile whirlwind of moods, incandescent like a city on fire.

Thank you for the second album. Got all three now on Bandcamp and they inspire me so much.
Kids in school, then work, and kids back from school - then baths and homework - AND FINALLY a bit of time in my cobbled together mini studio in my one bedroom flat. YOU inspire me to make the effort to make all that stuff work. Sentient Helicopters
